Kofi Annan Honored for Work on Landmine Issue

April 5, 2006., UNITED NATIONS —  Actor Michael Douglas presented U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan with an award for his dedication to ridding the world of land mines, marking the first international day to honor the cause. Juanes Plans Benefit Concert for Landmine Victims

March 27, 2006 — Alejandro Sanz, Ana Gabriel and Carlos Vives are among the artists who will perform at the Colombia sin Minas (Colombia Without Mines) concert being organized by fellow Latin star and Colombian native Juanes.
